4–8 Weeks Before (Minimum)
This is the latest we'd recommend confirming a caterer for a mid-to-large wedding. It gives enough time for a menu tasting, staffing plans and any special requests.
2–3 Months Before, for Peak Season
If your wedding falls during peak wedding season (typically winter months in Punjab), booking 2–3 months ahead is safer — popular dates and caterers fill up fast.
2–4 Weeks Before the Event
This is usually when final guest counts, menu confirmations and any last adjustments happen. Try to lock your guest count as early as possible in this window.
The Week Of
A good caterer will confirm setup timing, staff arrival and any final logistics with you in the final days — this is normal and worth double-checking rather than assuming.
